Vail Asylum Workshop - Asylum and Detention Matching those in need with pro bono counsel The afternoon session will begin with a lunch where we will discuss the ways pro bono volunteer attorneys can work with the Houston Immigration Coalition. Information will be provided on pro bo-no opportunities and programs. After lunch, a variety of topics will be covered: such as, asylum and the immigration court; representation of detained and non-detained clients before the U.S. Citizen-ship and Immigration Services; asylum and the expert witness; and a panel of U.S. immigration judges (invited) and practitioners will field questions at the end of the afternoon session.
